Legally Blonde starts with defining the main character's (Elle Woods) situation in Act I and letting her make all the decisions. By the end of Act I, Elle has accomplished being accepted into Harvard Law School as her way of proving to her ex-boyfriend that she is 'good enough' for him. Act II begins with the standard change of location. The Mid-Point defines Elle's new story, namely to begin her law firm internship. Her task will be to defend Brook Wyndham in court. By the end of Act II, Elle is driven away from her goal, but emerges in Act III to win the trial against all odds. The resolution shows Elle emerging as an independent, confident woman - and lawyer.
