Notes on a Scandal Structure

There's a disquieting sense of voyeurism in Notes on a Scandal that goes beyond the national fascination with reality shows like Survivor. Narration by Barbara Covett seems natural because of her obsessive writing of her relationship to Sheba her diary, (analogous to Walter Neff's narration of his story into his dictaphone for Keyes in Double Indemnity). Excellent escalation of tension with a bookend structure.
