The Day of the Jackal Structure

A tense superbly constructed screenplay with each Scene targeting a specific plot point. Note how Act III is relatively short. Either the Jackal will kill President de Gaulle or he won't. Either Lebec will stop and kill the Jackal or he won't. The excitement is in the chase. The Screenplay utilizes high quality detective work in logically identifying the Jackal's disguises - there are no discoveries by coincidences which often destroy the credibility of a screenplay.
